A shop on Pierce Street, and a phone that gets answered.
United Electric Service is Mike Evans and his crew. Lebanon is Mike’s home town, and he’s run the company out of it since 2011 — industrial and commercial work mostly, plus service calls for businesses and homeowners. We moved into the shop on W. Pierce Street about four years ago. The whole thing has been built on repeat customers and the people they send us.
How we work
Three things have stayed the same since we opened.
We don’t sub out electrical work.
Every bit of it is done by our own licensed electricians. That means the person who walks your job and prices it is the person running it in the field, and there’s no second company’s schedule or standards sitting between you and the work.
You get a number before we start.
We look at the job, tell you what it’ll take, and quote it. Nobody should have to watch a clock run and wonder what the bill is going to say.
We answer after four o’clock.
Emergency service is 24 hours at the same number. A dead panel on a Saturday night is exactly when people need an electrician and exactly when most shops are unreachable.

What we work on
Industrial and commercial is the backbone — motor controls, VFDs, three-phase machine feeds, panel and distribution work, build-outs, and underground and overhead installations. We also take residential and commercial service calls, handle storm damage, and do panel upgrades. On projects we bid — bid with a real takeoff, built by our crew, billed on AIA forms with a schedule of values. We handle industrial and agricultural work: motor controls, VFDs, three-phase machine feeds, shops, pole barns, grain handling and irrigation. And we’re an authorized Cummins dealer, so standby generators are sized, sold, installed and serviced by the same shop.
We standardize on ABB and Cutler Hammer gear through Butler Supply. It’s a small thing, but using the same equipment job after job means we know it, we stock parts for it, and the next person who opens your panel will recognize what’s in it.
